1.Vacation Villa Rental vs. a Hotel Room
Most private vacation homes offer 4-5 times more space than you will find in the typical hotel room often at smaller nightly rate. Typical hotel room is 200 SF; most of rental properties are between 1,000-4,000 SF.

Vacation rental homes often contain many personal & convenience items that will increase the comfort of the guest. This is truly a home away from home concept.

Unlike a typical hotel room, most private vacation homes include fully equipped kitchen and private laundry.

Homeowners are often able to provide you with tips and suggestions that only the locals know. This can make a huge difference in the enjoyment of your trip.

Most of vacation villas are used frequently by their owners and kept very clean for this reason. No one gives a property more attention than its owner and all have local management companies to look after the properties and their guests

Renting a private vacation villa offers the great value, affordability, and personal attention by homeowner.

To use DAVR web site from the homepage use search menu it is all very simple and straight forward. It is pretty much self-explanatory.

5.What do I need to bring with me to vacation home
Each homeowner decides what to provide to the guests so we suggest clearing your questions and concerns before paying for booking. Please try to get all answers in writing. Usually, vacation rental property has been carefully furnished and equipped to ensure that you have a terrific vacation. It is typical but again not guaranteed to get:
- Air conditioning
- Quality bedding and pillows
- Private and optionally heated pool on homes
- A resort/community pool on all condominiums
- Cable or satellite TV
- VCR
- Phone with local, long distance and international service (ask for rates)
- Data Port
- Washer/Dryer
- Garage and/or off road parking
- All linens/towels
- Arrival soaps and tissues
- Fully equipped kitchen including: stove/cooker/range
- Refrigerator and freezer
- Dishwasher
- Microwave oven
- Toaster
- Coffee maker
- Iron and board
- Vacuum cleaner
- Brush and mop

6.I have always stayed in a hotel up until now, what is so different about a villa?
Great question! Hotels can be very expensive, for the price of one hotel room you can have use of luxury home with pool. Most properties are greatly equipped to make your vacation unforgettable.

7.What about pets?
It is totally up to homeowner to let guests with pets in or not. Some owners do not allow absolutely any pets in their home. Please do not take it personally. It is usually not because they do not like pets.

There are many people out there who are allergic to animals. For this reason some houses would have to be specially cleaned. Additional cleaning and insurance cost does not let some owners to permit animals on the premises.

Other homeowners will allow pets but will charge an additional cleaning fee. You can select the home which will allow pets from the search form on the homepage.

8.Are there any shops and restaurants close by?
There is great selection of restaurants and shops to choose from since most vacation homes are located in tourist's attraction areas. However, please do your own research, ask the owners for the address of the property or at least street and zip code and look it up on Yahoo or Google Yellow Pages. Florida offers nearby shops and restaurants at all the popular locations within Central and Gulf Coast locations.

9.Are all towels and linen included?
All towels and linen are provided, including a selection of towels for use around the pool area. Please call us free on 0800 1954 888 for further details.

10.Who looks after the properties?
Typically, smart homeowners contract a professional property management company; they look after the villa and are also ready to assist guests. If there are any problems with the villa, they are on call 24 hours a day. For a homeowner to register on our DAVR web site they must have local management company to look after their property.

11.Have the villas got any safety features?
In most of the cases they do have all the safety features required by State/Country law (and more). They should include at least fire extinguisher. Many also offer a safe, Alarm Systems and even pool guards. Please check out individual property details.

12.Does the home get cheaper the longer I stay?
Yes, if you want to stay longer than 3 weeks, homeowners can usually offer a discount rate for bookings of 4wks and more.

13.What is typical cancellation policy

14.Deposits and Due Dates
Deposit-type disagreements could be avoided if Rental Agreements or Leases were written clearly, with defined dates and instructions AND vacationers were diligent in adhering to the schedules. If such agreements, which are in actuality simple contracts, spelled out all the details and contingencies, there would be little room for misunderstanding when conditions weren't followed. 15.What will the weather be like when we arrive?
Obviously we cannot guarantee weather, we recommend to go to www.weather.com prior to your departure to make sure that your expectations are accurate as possible.

17.How will I find the property & gain access?
Owners use different methods of both providing entry and directions Usuually you will be provided with the address, directions to the vacation villa and phone number for the owner or management company. Along with a Key Code to gain entry to your vacation home.

Alternatively you will be given directions to the local a management company open 24/7 who will then provide you with a set of keys and directions to your specific home selected from the DAVR web site.

These are normally sent to you approximately two weeks prior to departure date and receipt of balance of payment.
